I am just curious, I noticed KarenMarie pointed out that she doesn't eat any grains at all - and I wonder how people around you respond when you avoid so many "common" foods? I commend you!

I myself generally avoid these foods but on some occasions I just give in and eat _______ (fill in the blank) because it's so much easier! Plus I do enjoy those foods. Otherwise people look at me like I'm from Mars, or get all grumpy and complain that I'm too picky. I do take a stand somewhere, though... no more dairy! I had to be almost rude the other night but I have no regrets.

How do others handle this?
