My chiro said he recommends getting big stones broken up by ultrasound shockwaves. I did an internet search & found info saying that this's only done when people don't want/can't have surgery -- and the sites I found said typically it's used only when there's just one rock. Doctors steer people away from it because they say you're fine without a gallbladder (rather keep mine!) -- and they say if you got stones once you'll just get them again. I very much disagree with that hopeless attitude, I've changed my diet completely.
Nutrient deficiencies like B vitamins contribute to gallstones. (Brewer's yeast is good way to supplement, couple tablespoons a day.) I think I just read that the nutrient choline (found in soy lecithin) may help dissolve gallstones. Choline is needed for bile formation/acidity, so deficiency would likely make stones worse. Can't remember what site had info on choline dissolving, & don't know if it was reliable, sorry. You might find it with a search.
Think I also remember my chiro saying the nutrient inositol (also in lecithin) may help with Gallstones -- that's a memory thing though, so do some searches on it before you trust me! I do know that lecithin is a good thing for bile function all round, that part is pretty well known/reliable. Good luck!
