I ususally don't post here (just read), but I just had to respond to your post.
It breaks my heart to learn that there are still so many people like you out there still suffering needlessly from IBD (UC/Chrons). Haven't you heard that the SCD (Specific Carbohydrate Diet) is the answer?

How can you say such things without even having tried it?
I have UC and went on the diet in 1997. I got almost immediate relief (which I never experienced with the drugs the MDs gave me). Nowadays, the only time symptoms rear their ugly head is when I "cheat" by eating something not allowed.

Please, do yourselves a favor: Try the SCD. Then, after two to three months of being on it without cheating, come back and tell us how you're doing.
