You will have severe pain in the upper right abdomen, usually starting from the back and eventually working its way around to both sides of the stomach area. This can be accompanied by fever, nausea, and vomiting. The pain lasts for hours and is excruciating, the longest for me was eight but, I have heard some have had it for up to twelve. It sometimes follows fatty meals and happens at night, but not always.
