One thing I do know is that when there is a problem with digestion there is a lack of enzymes. You can help this by eating a diet high in fresh enzymes. Refrigeration has made our American diet have less fermented and cultured foods which are high in enzymes. Try soaking fresh organic whole (not rolled) oats in 1 -2 quarts pure water with 1 T. yogurt whey added. Then let it sit on the counter all day to ferment a bit. Refrigerate then and sip this throughout the day. If you eat grains always soak or sprout them first. Sprouts are very high in enzymes. Raw honey also has enzymes. Read Sally Fallon's cookbook, "Nourishing Traditions" for a wealth of info on this. Good luck...
