There is one point-of-view that may not have been considered, and that is of embarrassment.

"Too far" may be somewhere beyond a person's comfort zone for discussion in polite company.

Probably most of us keep quiet about this therapy, and many others, before certain of our friends.

Maybe one day it will be more 'acceptable' to discuss all possibilities more openly.
