Brandon,
been seeing some really great results using the yerba mate/ fiberland products. was curious to how you drink the mate? do you always drink it from a gourd? i bought one and went through the preparation method, but it just doesn't look like a very sanitary way of dinking tea. i'm currenty using a french press and tea strainer to brew the mate. just wanted to get your thoughts on it since the gourd concept is new to me.
i was also wondering if you had a favorite brand of mate that you think is superior to the rest? i've noticed that you can buy just the "leaf" mate as well as the "whole plant" ground up. i guess this leads to what mate drinkers call a cleaner vs dirtier brew. just wanted to get your thoughts on this.
have noticed that the mate acts as a great stool softner which really cuts down on my bleeding. also noticed that drinking it before a meal leads to less indigestion.
also curious to what you consider to be a copious amount? been drinking the tea close to a month now and am going to start adding larger amounts.
