Hello,
I have heard about glyconutrients for a few years. I approached a lady I know about it when I still didn't know what they were because were signature on her e-mail gave the name M****tech, I was just curious about what it was and so we went out to lunch. She also brought another friend (MT associate as well), before I knew it she told me all about it and then some. We discussed healthy habits and healthy eating. We are a very health conscious family and I have been labeled by our pediatrician "the poster mom for healthy eating", I guess it's strange for little kids to eat made from scratch food twice a day these days and get excited about eating broccoli (without the gooey cheese sauce). Anyway, I've always been health conscious, perhaps because I've grown up that way. Drinking milk fresh from the cow, and veggies picked in our own garden, fruit from the trees ... The lady then proceded to tell me all I needed to take there were 3 different things that I should take. I took home the brocures, the video and the materials to read. My husband, who is a health professional, was very skeptical. I was too, but I tend to get excited about natural health stuff more than he does. However, it became clear to me very quickly that it was all about money, for the two of us taking the "recommended" products would have taken $1,000 for 6 months. Even though we can afford it, why spend our money that way? The MLM structure raised an immediate red flag for us, we've lost a lot of "friends" (I guess they never were real friends) because of MLMs.
Anyway, regardless of our healthy habits we have some health challenges, I myself suffer from an autoimmune skin disease, and lately two of my boys have been showing some problems too. My youngest has been having loose stools, borderline diarrhea for 8 months the doctor says it's not the high fiber in our diet. I agree, because he has them even when we have starchy foods and he eats bananas like a monkey. My oldest suffers from eneuresis. Right now we have standing appointments with specialists, since the pediatrician himself can't figure out what it is. At one point my youngest got even tested for celiac disease the result: it's probably not, but we can't be 100% sure. The other day I received an e-mail from the doctor saying that I might try glyconutrients with the kids and see if that helps, he personally doesn't sell them but he has a lot of patients that have been helped by them that he thought I'd give it a shot. Although I trust my doctor, I like to do my own research and so I found you. I'm glad I did. I've found the recipes and I have a few questions. My frugal self likes Dr. Bird's recipe since there would be at least 4 of us in the family taking it (me and the kids, my husband will have to see to believe). So here are the questions in easier form to be answered.
1. Has anybody tried both the Ambro and Dr. Birds and if so were the results similar or different?
2. Does the Ambro with Aloe have additional benefits due to the other medicinal properties of aloe?
3. Using the Aloe form Improve U.S.A. (Al Lowe's Aloe) can you reduce the quantity to make it go a longer way since it is much stronger?
4. Does anybody give glyco to very young kids (18 months) and what is the dosage?
5. As far as the storage would keeping it in the freezer hurt it or help it? I also have a vacuum packing machine that can do regular mason jars. Would that extend the shelf life of the various ingredients?
I guess I'm kind of hesitant to get away from the Ambro formula because it seems that the Aloe is very important. I'm really ready to start and I want to order the stuff tomorrow, but I can't decide.
Thanks!
