claudio, i believe you're sadly right. i still don't understand why no one cares. as far as impeachable offenses go, this country seems to limit itself to extramarital affairs as being grave enough to call an "impeacheable offense". (yes, i know, i know, the man lied under oath) openly deceiving a nation, buying your seat in office, and sending the economy to hell in a handbasket all while cutting deals for your buddies seems to be ok. at least that is my understanding. but try telling "regular joe" that and you'll get the now-predictable rhetoric about being "unpatriotic" and "you should always support your president". hogwash! if this country was built on that ideology, we'd still be a monarchy under great britain. wakey, wakey, america!
