I have had Ulcerative Colitis for about 7 years now and with the exception of the first few months, I have taken no medication and had no problems. I have been taking a combinnation of two things. I take a product called herbal fiberblend which is an AIM product, and I drink copious amounts of yerba mate. Yerba mate is a kind of herbal tea from South America...it contains pretty much every vitamin and mineral nessesary to sustain life. It increases your output and input by as much as 15%, and it's great for you digestive system, increases REM sleep, strengthens your immune system(miracle drink). This combo has been a miracle for me, I have had no problems, and I eat whatever the hell I want. I was determined long ago that I was not going to be bogged down by some chronic desease that I couldn't control. I also am a firm believer that medical drugs cause more problems than they fix. I think the main helper is the mate, but I must warn you, it tastes like what a barn smells like, and I think it is a good idea to get the fiber blend along with it. I should have posted this on here a long time ago. I am not promising that this will work for everyone, but it has worked for me, and I have more energy than I know what to do with. There have been no ramifications to speak of to this point, as far as I am concerned I am cured, but I suppose I'll never know. I only have one bowel movement every 1 to 2 days...a solid healthy bowel movement. Anyway, feel free to ask me any questions, and I hope this combo will work for some of you. Cheers, Brandon P.S.
