I also wanted to mention to use caution when following the SCD diet. Many of us cannot tolerate some of the things in that diet. I will not stay in remission if I follow it.
And I've read many horror stories about people who tried to follow it and ended up in the hospital requiring surgery to recover from the damage. Now the SCD diet, and other diets, will help you avoid many thing which are positively bad for you, so its a good start. But there are also things prohibited by SCD that I can tolerate perfectly fine. The best thing to do is your own trial and error as to which foods trigger your symptoms.
