I experienced burning heat as soon as the two wires were touched to the sides of the pan. I used a stainless steel pot, D battery, and a wire cut off from an old kitchen appliance. The positive end was on the water side of the pot, outside of the water; the negative end was outside the pot. Where did I go wrong?
