When I first started trying to energize water I tried just putting the wires directly into the water for varying lengths of time and mostly what I got was brackish water that unfit to drink.
Then when I first tried the leydon jar method, I use a margarine container lined with foil and it worked great. Since then, I have tried a variety of containers and batteries and put the most useful information on the web site.
I'm sure there are other methods but I'm trying to keep this as simple and inexpensive as I can because the ultimate aim of my web site is the poorest of the poor and the uneducated. It seems to be working too as I get many hits from African and South American countries, and Malaysia, Thailand, India etc. I'm hoping that EW will help with Malaria, AIDS, and the other major killers in these regions. These people are not likely to have the gizmos that you have (neither do I) but batteries and saucepans are readily available even in the jungle or at least can be provided easily.
