Hi there,
I am 42, female and in good health - except for recurrent 'growing pains', principally affecting both lower limbs.
I have been told this is 'rheumatism'- which tells me nothing about cause or cure. Rheumatism is a disease I associate with old people, not fit and happy people in their prime!
I have been told to take paraceotamol (acetominophen) - which does the trick, but makes me feel like a junkie.
To cap it all, all three of my children are bothered by ';growing pains'. I recall frequent growing pains as a child, and no-one believed me. The pains I have now seem to be the same charachter and distribution as my childhood pains - so this intermittent disturbance has been a feature of my life to date. I don't want that for my children, and I am completely fed up with it for my own part too.
Can you give me some education about causality, heredity, treatment and avoidance?
Thanks in anticipation of some good advice.
