Dear Dr. Shulze, I am 46 years old. In my twenties, I occasionally found myself at extremely loud rock concerts and felt that that diminished my hearing somewhat. Two years ago I got swimmers ear pretty badly and did not take the medication prescribed for me at a clinic. I have had itchy ears ever since and here's the worst part. I have indulged in scratching them!!! Yes, with anything available like ballpoint pen tops. My hearing is now terrible. I always say "what" to almost any statement. Is there anything I can do to rejuvenate my ears. Thanks in advance!!
