>- Think about it, "toxins" in your body drawn out thru your feet? If that worked, why doesn't getting into a normal spa or whirlpool massage cause that effect on the feet?

Actually, they do to a lesser extent. Think about it. How does the body normally eliminate excess heavy metals, etc?

Through the pores and through the hair.

>- Is the fact that the water changes colour really proof that the Spa is detoxifying the body?

NO, there is not enough minerals pulled from the body in one session to significantly color the solution. Additionally, their methodology is not correct.

>- Some manufacturers claim that these colours correspond to specific body fluids, like cholesterol, uric acid, bile, blood, and even certain types of fats.

They may claim that, but I would seriously doubt it. It take a significant amount of most any compound to color the water to a visible extent.

>- The water that is used has its own impurities that, due to the electrolysis, are drawn towards or separated from other components.

Only if you use impure water, I have always used distilled water so the above statement does not apply.

>- The skin can also contain remnants of soap, creams, nail varnish, pollutants and dyes from shoes, including shoe polish, bacteria, fungi and fibres. There might also be a release of substances from the sebaceous glands and dead cells. All these factors combined will influence the colour change.

Hmmm, as I said before, dead skin, etc. I find that it is necessary to thoroughly clean and rinse the feet to eliminate this problem.

>- but in all our investigations we detected no biological substances,

How diluted would these substances be in a foot bath and how did they try to detect them? This is how an antagonist can easily sway the results. Place the feet in 5 gallons of contaminated water for 2 minutes and I doubt that the best chromatograph would find anything significant.

>- the whole process is impossible to calibrate which in turn means that clinical interpretation is misleading.

Absolutely, so eliminate as many of the variables as is possible.

Additionally, I fiind that the whole process is flawed as described.

First, the electrolysis is worthless unless the human becomes part of the equation ( specifically becomes the anode ). To bring metals out of the body at an accellerated rate, the individual should hold the positive electrodein one hand with the negative electrode being in the water.

WARNING: The voltage must be less than 12 volts and the current must be limited to less than 4 ma.

Try this experiment.

1) One Gallon of hot distilled water (not hot enough to damage or hurt) and add 4 Tablespoons of Epsom Salts .

2) Place 1 quart of this in the foot bath along with the copper electrode for 30 minutes. Collect a 4 ounce sample in a laboratory clean sample jar, label as #1 and seal. Dispose of the rest.

3) Thoroughly clean and rinse the feet. Place another quart in the foot bath along with the negative electrode and place the feet in but do not touch the positive electrode. Do this for 30 minutes then collect this as sample #2.

4) Thoroughly clean and rinse the feet again. Place another quart in the foot bath along with the negative electrode and place the feet in and hold the positice electrode ( this should be wrapped in a paper towel soaked with Epsom Salts . Do this for 30 minutes then collect this as sample #3.

5) Thoroughly clean and rinse the feet again. Place another quart in the foot bath along with the negative electrode, add 1 ounce of hydrogen peroxide, and place the feet in and hold the positice electrode ( this should be wrapped in a paper towel soaked with Epsom Salts . Do this for 30 minutes then collect this as sample #4.

Send these samples off requesting both a mineral analysis and an organic analysis.

There will be a difference and it will become apparant as to how to properly do a foot detox bath.

You might also repeat the test using pure sodium chloride and then pure potassium chloride.
