It's number one beneficial effect (as verified by NASA scientists) is that it helps pump lymph fluid around your body. This is very important for wellness as our lymph system does not have a pump like our circulatory system does (heart). The human body is designed to move and most people have fairly inactive lifestyles due to modern living. This is where a rebounder comes in. It is absolutley the best motion there is for benefiting our lymph system. Without this movement our lymph does not move and becomes stagnant in creasing toxicity to our cellular health. This can be disasterous.
Not all rebounders are created equal. I personally own a Needack. There are also a couple other ones that are as good of quality. If balance is an issue they can be purchased with a stabalizing bar for you to hang on to while you bounce.
Obviously it is also a decent cardiovascular work out and with twisting motions while jumping, it can also be mildly toning.
I would not be without my rebounder. I have studied and tried many, many aspects of health and healing modalities and I would rate the use of a rebounder in the top 5.
Other great exercises are walking, riding a bike and my personal favorite...rowing. If you want the absolute best excercise there is for cardiovascular, while at the same time strengtheing your legs, arms, abs, back, etc all at the same time, get a quality rowing machine. My favorite is the concept 2.
