In order to lower your heart rate you need to do cardiovascular exercise. HR is a measure of heart effieciency. If your heart rate is pumping at 95-100 beats per minute, then it is not working as efficiently as it could be. Now, obviusly your heart rate can be increased by certain medications, stimulants (caffeine), sedentary lifestyle etc. Your BF% of 30% is higher than ideal for someone your height. Someone at 140lbs and BMI of 23 is appropriate but 30% BF is higher than it could be.

Physiological age is a term used in fitness to measure the age of your body versus your actual chronological age. Your heart has a specified number of beats for your lifetime (so reseaerchers tell us). If that is true then someone with a higher HR will reach there alotted number of beats fster, meaning living less as long.

Steps to reduce your heart rate?
The heart is a muscle and needs to be trained as such. Do Cardiovascular exercise 4-6 times per week at 50-60% max HR (220-age = Max heart rate) for 10-20 minutes per session for 2-3 weeks. Then do alternating days of 50-60% intensity and 70-80% percent intensity on opposite days.
Good luck!
