Actually, I've only ever done it on a hardwood floor in my bedroom, mostly barefoot and usually in PJ's, usually with a towel for rites 2 and 3.
I've done it a few times in carpet while away on vacation- I found rite 4 really hard to do on carpet- couldn't get the bum slide going.
How unadventurous of me!!
