When Bush invaded Iraq, it was supposedly to get rid of an evil empire and its evil eader. Turns out GWBush can do no better!
And besides, it was Bush who put Saddam in place.

Bush's Iraq aggression was supposed to depose the man who gassed the Kurds, but that was gas supplied and made by americans! In America. Americans profitted by the sale of that gas...

Is it irony that the SAME prison where Uday Hussien tortured his olympic athletes?

One of the reasons that Bush stated for going in was the same as your quote here daizy4 :"We are transforming a once very sick society into a hopeful place". Thats what Bush said, and then shows up to do his own version of torturing the Iraquis. Unfortunate eh?>
Hypocritcal perhaps?

Daizy4, by praying for Bush like he is a normal child of god like you or me is absurd. I think the whole idea of god is absurd anyways, but bringing that god myth into this debacle of torture is plenty silly.
Indeed ! Would n't it serve the evil side well if we "STOPPED CRITICIZING BUSH". GOODNESS GRACIOUS - how could we be less responsible than to let Bush continue like this?

<<<<<<< "Why don't we stop criticizing George Bush and pray for him instead?"
"SEEING THEM AS GOD SEES THEM." I, for one, am committed to seeing George in that way, as a Perfect Child of God, thus sending him energy that will help him make proper decisions, decisions that heal and bless rather than divide. "
end quote>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Karlin -
daizy4 I do not agree with your premise here, although I would like to be supportive.
I think we can do no better than to call evil "evil" when it shoves it's head thru our doors.

As Bush tries to quells the kerfuffle over torture to regain the high moral ground that he invaded Iraq with, he can do no better than to call it "abuse". Thats the SPIN!
Putting SPIN on torture is not a good thing - it is vital we call it what it is, and show the photos all day long. Americans HAVE to realise what torture is - and that it happens at the hands of BushCo people a lot. A lot more than we know of from TVland.
