Is this who I am?
Is this really me?

Are these my own lifeprints;
(My spirit's ripple-effect)
Vibrating through the glassy sea?
How much of the sea indwells me
And how much of me indwells the sea?

Where does oneness meet individuality?
Where nobodiness meets divinity?

Is this really me walking on water and drowning,
Flying through the heavens and plummeting down;
Singing with the morning birds and mourning the winter birds,
Overeating and starving,
Eating and being devoured?

Is that who I am?
Is that really me?

The mirror, like wine, is a mocker;
A smooth and vulgar talker.

Would you trust the thrust of the shadowy stalker:
The Sea Beast
Who cleverly poses,
Beguiles and rubs noses,
Placates and imposes;

Withers with age
Then cracks up laughing?
