Has anyone tried cold sheet "shock" therapy?

I haven't, but my cousin has used a similar method several times, when she was coming down with the flu she would do that and when she woke up the next day, each time she was healthy again. She said it's torture, but it works.

I would be interested to hear anyone else's experience and/or variations.
