Hi,

Just joined the forum and wondered if anyone out there can offer some support/advice...

I have had epilepsy since I was 13 (now 29) and been on Tegretol (200mg twice a day) I have only had about 6 seizures, last one June 04 shortly after I had a serious car accident but normally the seizures have been well controlled.

My husband and I want to start trying for a baby soon and I am so worried about being on the medication that I want to come off it but also worried about the chances of having another seizure, I don't get a warning prior to them coming on so it is a little scary.

I really feel like I don't know what to do for the best, has anyone been through this turmoil and/or withdrawn from their medication for this reason.....

I'd really like to hear from you
