I had the same problem in 1987, but had gone on for years previous. By a stroke of luck, I found the Hahnemann Health Assoc. on Park Ave., in Manhattan.
Long, initial interview, and very detailed questionnaire about my family history (diseases, etc.).
Homeopath prescribed Rhus tox. 6C (poison ivy), a relatively mild potency, as remedies go.
Only thing I had to do differently was eat 3 meals a day, even if one was just an apple, lay off coffee, caffeine, temporarily, and take a short walk every day.
Within 48 hrs., completely gone.
I was completely dumbfounded. Never had a problem since.
