I thought the majority of people knew this but I wasn't able to find it here, so here goes.

Zinc deficiency can cause BO, ridges on the fingernails and/or white spots on the fingernails.

Be forewarned however, a hair analysis will show an excess of zinc as the body will maintain stasis of the blood by stealing zinc from organs and bone.
