Hi I am new to the site but I had some questions about the Burt's Bee Buttermilk lotion. My daughter is 9 months old and we have been battling with this since she was 3 months. I have just started using it and hope it will be as effective. Did you use it alone or with another moisturizer. It is very thin. I have been using Eucerin also. Her skin still seems so dry. What was your nephews routine for skin care?
I am still breastfeeding since has had bad reacions to alot of foods that is basically all she eats besides bananas and millet bread. She likes water so I try to get aleast an ounce a day. Is this enough as long as I drink enough?I have changed my diet. No dairy, eggs, orwheat.
We have tried all the hydrocortisone creams and when it was really bad the steroid creams. It only seemed to come back worse. It is encouraging to hear others with the same problems and finding relief. We are currently taking her to a homeopathic doctor. But this process takes time. Her skin is not as bad as before but she has alot more itching than before. keeping her from scratching is hard. the nails are trimed but she still does alot of damage. Other people have told me to tie socks to her hand. She comforts herself by sucking her fingers. I can't do that to her she suffers enough. The doctor says it gets worse before it gets better because her body is cleansing itself. And it is all coming to the surface did anyone else experience this. She does not sleep well because she itches so bad. It is very hard to see her go thru this. My husband is skeptical of this natural route. And when she gets bad wants me to give her the creams just to give her some relief. But i feel like this will bring us back to square one. Is this true? A bath daily in Aveeno Oatmeal bath helps but I don't want to dry her out. She'd love to stay in there all day long. If anyone has any suggestions on how to give her more relief with out these creams. Any help will be appreciated.
