I am 54 and have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (rare for a man). Anyway, my TSh is about 12 and I have high cortisol (34) which does not change from 8am to 4pm. THe top of the normal range is 22. Do I need adrenal support. A lot of folks here have LOW CORTISOL while mine is high. I started Armour thyroid last Wednesday (1grain), by Saturday, my heart was pounding and each morning I felt weird in the head from the Armour. I have been getting more hot flashes than usual (yes I am male). I do have low testosterone levels. So I stopped the armour in the hope of getting back to normal, figuring I would start at 1/4 grain a day instead of 1grain. I was never on any thyroid med before Wednesday. I was hoping to be able to get on the armour and take care of business, now I don't know which way to turn.
