Common Sense 101 class is now in session, please take your seats boys and girls. Today's topic is "Military Service and You". Wiz, put your hand down...haven't even started class yet. Geez! You can go to the bathroom later. When you enter the armed forces you take on the chance of one day having to face danger head on. That's the risk you take. If you don't realize that fact of life you're either a fool or retarded...take your pick. If you can't handle combat or pee down your pantleg at the thought of it, please don't sign up. Only the brave are needed in my Army, Navy, Air Force, or Coast Guard. Next, I don't remember any draft signed into action. It's all volunteer! Can you say "VOLUNTEER"? That means that you, not your mom or dad or bestest friend in the whole wide world can make you join. You decide. But once YOU DO SIGN on that dotted line you open yourself to others in higher command dictating your life's direction for the next four or more years. You cease to make decisions for yourself. Talented and knowledgeable people who see the "big picture" can and will use your fighting skills for the good of the whole. You may be killed. That's reality. Now, mister Wiz, you wrote in your term paper on John Kerry that there's NO WAR you would ever allow your son to fight...we all in this classroom realize that based on your precious writings. In most circles we call those people...cowards. That's "C-O-W-A-R-D-S". America was built by the brave, not the cowardly. Unfortunately in America you are allowed to be a coward and ride the coattails of the brave...but I see by the clock that we've run out of time. We'll pick up here next time. Class dismissed.
