Ok... I am not getting enough calcium juicing etc. It just isn't happening. My nails have been splitting so badly they are ripping down the center toward the cuticle! OUCH! So I reluctantly went back on my calcium supplement 3 months ago ( I take less than the recommended dose of Bone-Up) so I'm taking 2caps 2 times a day w/meals (recommended is 3 times a day for total of 6 caps).

I started Kombucha 2 months ago and just came across this old Italian recipe to make calcium supplements soaking raw eggs (in the shell) in lemon juice for 2 days. Since Kombucha is highly acidic, I am trying it w/the Kombucha (instead of lemon juice) and it is totally working.
The shells are disintegrating and there are bubbles on the outsides of the eggs! By tomorrow I will very carefully remove the eggs (which will only have membranes left) and then take a spoon of this stuff a day!

It makes calcium citrate.
Here's link for exact recipe and her personal experience using this.

Now this sounds just like what Dr. Schulze makes fun of... people eating the shells of the oysters etc. to get calcium.

I have osteopenia (which I haven't had bone density testing for in 8 years cause I don't want the radiation). So I know I need to pay attention to calcium, vit d etc.
I get my D from the sun or cod liver oil.

What do you guys think of this?
Thanks for your time.
