Hi Bob,
There is a little difference in the quantities of the ingredients listed on the tooth powder. Last week I received an order from herbsfirst.com and one of the items was the tooth powder. Here is the order in which they are listed on the label:
Proprietary Blend: Horsetail grass, Peppermint Leaf, White oak bark, Cloves, Prickly Ash Bark, Bayberry bark, Slippery elm bark, and Stevia herb.
So the white oak bark would not be the major ingredient. However they sell white oak bark powder separate in 1 lb bags. If they are out and the original poster needs to order some he can check mountainroseherbs.com , pacificbotanicals.com or any other good source.
To the original poster - You can add a few grams(3-4) of vitamin C daily and calcium. Vitamin C is importanat for collagen formation and the calcium will help with bone loss. If you consume dairy try to find a raw milk from grassfed animals from a local farmer near you. You also mention that you are brushing with the sonic brush. Could it be that the motion is too strong for that tooth? Maybe use an extra soft tooth brush (the ones that are sold for little children) just in this particular spot.
It is good that you have water pick mouth irrigator. You can check http://mizar5.com/omedia2.htm for some interesting information. I have not ordered or read yet the books by Dr.Bob Nara DDS. I found this site a few days ago through reading the archives on the dental forum. Bob Nara's message is that the mouth can heal(teeth, gums, bone loss due to gum disease)if it is clean and the body is nourished.
