Donna,

Thanks for your wonderful feedback about the IP program. I have been really struggling with putting all the pieces together of what is causing my health problems and trying to figure out where to begin. I know that I need to start addressing my health in a very disciplined and aggressive manner, but have been frustrated because of the time and commitment required. Having to work a full-time job, in addition to being a single mom takes so much time and energy that I don't have any time or energy left for myself and I have been feeling so trapped and without many options. Then...last weekend I woke up and had this 'epiphany' - I am not trapped...nor am I without options. I have 2 months worth of sick time accrued along with another month of vacation time!! I came in to work and told my boss that I needed to take a sabbatical to take care of my health and she was very supportive and agreed to hire a part time person to take over half of my responsibilities at work!! Then, a couple of days later, my daughter announced that she and the baby were moving in with a single girlfriend and her children - so now it is just myself and my son at home and I have ALOT more free time!!

I believe Dr. Schulze says "tomorrow is what you believe and do today" and I realized that my tomorrows were never going to be any different unless I took control of my life and started making changes TODAY!
