You could still be drinking it too fast using your shot glass method. Maybe you can try one shot glass six times over the day instead of 3.
I also noticed that your recipe does not include the black cherry concentrate as mentioned in Dr. Clarke's books. Is there a reason for that? Maybe leaving out this one ingredient could also be the cause of your pain. I have found that by using the black cherry concentrate, it made the tea taste quite pleasant.
