I tried, because I didn't think I could afford good probiotics at the time. I ate a tub of plain yogurt (Astro... not too bad) every three or four days. I must have a lactose-sensitive stomach because the yogurt felt like it was eating a hole in my gut! Also, it was more expensive in the long run and my symptoms actually got worse after about 2 weeks and I am just again getting them under control.
