Post Script: I've had pale stools before, a long time ago, and it was always a temporary thing, usually associated with some small digestive trouble or diarrhea. Color always returned within a couple of days, so without further symptoms, you might just wait a day or so and see what happens, but keep an eye on it and consult a doctor if you are uncomfortable with waiting, or if it persists/re-occurs.
