You really need to have a test to see if you have a vaginal infection. It can easily pass through to the baby and be quite serious. I know this because I work with sick and premature infants.
And the fact that you had a previous cesearian makes you high risk. Why did you have the first one. There are many reasons why you might need another.
What was it that you did not like about the midwife? You can always find another one who is more your style.
