There have been no definitive cases of toxic effects in 20 years of 5htp marketing. Serotonin is said to have an inhibitory effect on sexual behavior, therefore, one of the 5HTP side effects is decreased libido. I would further say that other causes and circulatory issues need be addressed as I can take doses of Kava and 5HTP, be loaded with serotonin and have the opposite of your problem.
