Obesity is so revered among Mauritania's white Moor Arab population that the young girls are sometimes force-fed to obtain a weight the government has described as "life-threatening".

I had to respond to this because it is true. America's obsession with weight is a cultural issue and there are other countries that are different than us. I'm not saying that it's a good thing, it's much better to be an average weight to maintain your physical health.
