This post says it better than I ever could. I too know what it's like to have names stored in the memory. I have almost, but never actually called a lover by a different name. My new boyfriend is so lucky he didn't have to hear it.. I was so in the moment I nearly called him my (very recent, and pretty long term) ex's name many times. But didn't. And a big no, I am not still sleeping with my ex, as previous posts would imply. It is just habit in some ways I guess... It is an awful thing to hear.. I would freeze completely if someone called me the wrong name, I would be furious, and so so hurt, but I have been guilty (almost) of the same thing.. so how do I have the right to be angry??

We are irrational, double standard loving beings the lot of us.

Or is that only me??
