I've had some situations similar to yours and I think you haven't lost trust in men necessarily but you've started seeing yourself differently.

We know that we, as women, feel better about ourselves when we know we look good (society's unfortunate brainwashing on all of us). Maybe you don't need to go on a date, maybe you just need to learn first how to feel good about yourself again. View yourself as an intelligent, worthwhile, loving, caring... and beautiful, sexual woman. Then get dressed a little nice and go to a coffee shop or the library or somewhere (but not the bar a.k.a. the meat market).

If you want to meet a man who sees you the way you want to be seen you have to project that image and believe it about yourself.
