I would just add that there are new and effective tests for lyme, and it would be best to have an accurate diagnosis. Also, there are many co-infections that can come with lyme and they can require a different type of approach then the lyme bacteria.
Lastly, it is my belief that if a person has late stage lyme, Antibiotics are not very effective. If caught quickly, Antibiotics are a must. If the lyme has been present for a long period, it appears to me after doing some research that the Antibiotics tend to suppress the bugs. Once the Antibiotic is stopped, even after using it for years, the symptoms often return as the lyme comes out of it's hiding, changes form and begins to reproduce.
There are some alternative therapies that seem to be more effective with less side effects than antibiotics for late stage lyme.
