We are also reaping a lot of consequences in our modern world from women being unprotected, unchaperoned. I think of the gal who was raped by Mike Tyson (for which he went to jail), and why was she unchaperoned in his hotel in the first place? Not that he is excused one bit, but we also have a duty to protect our daughters and also to permit someone to protect us.

Another poignant example is the raping at the Kennedy complex in Florida. We women need to be careful not to put ourselves in the compromising position to begin with.

My ex and I are no longer together, but I support his protective relationship over our daughter. He doesn't have to say much or do much, it's just a spiritual covering that exists...she knows it and honors it also. If I was to undermine that, I would reap the consequences of rebellion in my offspring, I believe.

Those strains of rebellion travel down the generations...and I want to minimize those bad effects as much as possible! There's enough to deal with already, without adding more to it!

Yes, there have always been devout women who covered themselves.

BTW...I like Middle Eastern food because it is kosher and even though I am a believer in Jesus as Messiah and the Son of God, I follow a kosher diet.

So thank you for allowing me to post here, as it's nice to find common ground when all the world is trying to exacerbate the differences. I know that there are differences, but where people can find a measure of peace between them, it is a beautiful thing.
