Your comments in this post were nice. "We all struggle with life. We struggle so hard." So true--no matter what religious paradigm.

I am not Muslim, however, I have worked for a Middle Eastern atty.

I just wanted to comment that a few weeks ago, I was in a restaurant, eating with my family. A very beautiful woman was sitting with her boyfriend. Her halter top was so skimpy and she was falling out of it. In the same view, was a Middle Eastern woman with her husband and older gentleman. She was wearing a jab(?is the right word?) and was very modest and covered.

The contrast was striking and I felt so uncomfortable even looking over at the other woman--as though she should have been in her home so 'uncovered' and 'naked', and it was embarrassing. I felt glad that my 11 yr. old son's back was to her.

If I was in a different country, such as in the Middle East, and it was the customary and accepted norm to cover myself as such--I would do it. I feel good about that, also, because in my way of thinking I feel that I am more feminine already--for not having a rebellious spirit in that regard.

I'm not certain what the other poster meant by 'humbling' the sassy woman, and while I would not condone violence, I think that we have to fight the norm of this society which is moving more and more toward the satanic side of things--and teach our children and our young females to be LESS rebellious and sassy. If I say more submissive and humble, perhaps some balk at those terms.

Anyway, I hope that I am not out of order by posting here! Blessings.
