A couple years ago I read a book by Dale Carnegie called How to stop worrying and start living. Someone had said it was a very good book, which it was. In the back there was a story about a man who wen to live with the people in the desert of Morocco. This tribe was very trusting in God and when ever something bad happened to them like the loss of their sheep, they would simply say "Maktoob"(it is written) and get on with their lives. Sometimes it is difficult to remember that Allah has everything written for us and all we need to do is trust in Him and have patience. Allah knows whats best for us and in the end our ultimate goal is not getting the best out of this live but getting the best for the hereafter.
Ya, sometimes I fail miserably as well. But other times I remember that there is reward in patience.
