That logic is flawed. During ancient times, Arabs only occupied the Arabian penninsula (i.e. present-day Saudia Arabia, Oman, Yemen, UAE. All of presentday Balad As-Sham was occupied by various ethnicities--Syrians (not what we consider present-day Syrians), Jews, Assyrians, Chaldeans, etc. So when it is stated that the face of the man "is as Lebanon," that most surely means that he was probably NOT Arab.
