I don't know if this will help, but i actually went into the health foods store today and asked about Sea Salt and the celtic Sea Salt .
I wanted to find out if the salt was uniodized, which is better for you. But you may already know that.
Celtic Sea Salt should be alright to use and it should not be contaminated. It is fairly pricey where i live compared to regular uniodized sea salt.
I don't think anything is ever 100%.
We just have to take our chances and hope the people we ask for info. will be upfront with us.
I would guess health foods products would be fairly safe.
If you have more than one health foods store near you maybe you could get 2nd and 3rd opinions on the salt that you would like to purchase.
