My daughter did a couple of Liver Cleanses before she got pregnant.She is now 4 months pregnant. She followed the protocol to the tee for the cleanse, but didn't do the kidney cleanse tea afterwards. Last week she went to the doctor and had a urine test and the protein level in her urine was elevated. The doctor told her it could be a sign of kidney damage. She is worried that maybe the liver cleanse may have damaged her kidneys. Just how damaging can the liver cleanse be if you don't do the cleansing tea afterwards?? She never had any know problems prior to the liver cleanses. The doctor didn't necessarily say her kidneys were damaged, he said they could be and that may be the reason why the protein level was eleveted, as the kidneys may not be filtering the protein properly.
