My doctor diagnosed me with schizophrenia which I totally believe was wrong since I was not hallucinating at any time before he perscribed me drugs. He put me on Risperdal for a period of about a month and a half. I had to withdraw from school because of the effects that it had on me (too sleepy to work). A mistake that I made was that I had been taking diet pills (with ephedrine) and working out at the gym intensely while taking the Risperdal and as a side-effect, I had insomnia at night and I would have fits during the day.
At one time I mixed some of the medicine that I had been given for my previous diagnosis of being manic-depressive with the Risperdal, on top of the diet pills and had a horrible reaction. I felt like I was falling backwards into a black hole and I was terribly sleepy, but couldn't fall asleep because whenever I started to fall asleep, I would start to fall again and involuntarily jerk myself awake. My mom came over while I was having this reaction and I scared her because I couldn't focus and was in an incoherent state. It was the worst torture I tell you and I don't wish for anyone to go through what I went through.
