Dear Owen,
Thank you so much for your kind words and advice. There's so much information here but I'm taking it all in slowly but surely. The new found awareness of my health and of my body that I am experiencing is a little overwhelming but I know that I'm on the path to a better, healthier life.
I'm definitely going to stay away from cafeteria food as well as most other prepared foods as I plan on cooking/preparing my own meals to ensure that I eat exactly what I want in my body. If there's one thing I've learned so far here is that the saying of "you are what you eat" is an undeniable truth. A clean diet is the way to go for me.
I am of Chinese descent and over the past year, I had searched high and low for alternative therapies when all doctor suggested methods(prescriptions) had failed. Up to my ruptured disc situation, I would not take my mother's alternative medicines and therapies seriously as I was foolishly and stubbornly behind western medicine as an infallible method and the only viable method of treatment. Truly, CureZone's motto of "Educating instead of medicating" rings true to my ears now. When I had stumbled across CureZone, my search was over. As I read more on the experiences of forum members, my ignorance was quite apparent. These so called alternative therapies were the norm for thousands of years and the methods that indeed worked and yielded results. I feel as though a veil has been lifted from my eyes and now my overall point of view in life is wide open, not only for medical treatments of all origins but all other aspects of life as well.
Back to the topic, I am looking forward to sharing my growing knowledge of alternative health therapies. Reading on the forum has shown me that people of all walks of life are affected by ailments such as constipation and that many can only rely upon doctors of western medicine as they do not have awareness of of alternative medicine. I've begun to do what I can to spread the knowledge by pointing family members and friends to CureZone as well as to flax seed as a source of fiber and other nutritional benefits. I plan on doing the same at college and I hope that I will be able to make contact with people who are willing to step forward to speak of any health problems they have. Traditional health treatment has seemingly been forgotten and discarded by many modern thinking people who hold onto western medicine as the only viable medical way of thought. I hope to help the effort of CureZone and all the other resources that keep traditional medicine in the awareness of people so that more people can be educated instead of being medicated.
Once again, thank you, Owen.
Thank you, CureZone.
Sincerely,
DynamiteKid/Ed
