Well, for me, if I feel tender in the lower abdomen or rectum, then certain positions will be painful. Sex is not painful all of the time and sometimes just changing the position alleviates the problem. But other times I feel achy during the act and the only way to alleviate that feeling is to stop or for him to be very gentle and not penetrate deeply.
