I used magnetic clay with some success and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to rid their body of heavy metals. I do believe there are some other chelators that you might also want to consider as well. Cilantro is one of the best natural chelators and costs pennies. Putting Cilantro into some honey and cinnamon before you start the clay bath might make the Cilantro go down easier or you might also consider making Cilantro into a pesto. Vitamin C and Chlorella would be a great addition to a mercury/aluminum/lead detox and I also would like to suggest finding a way to use cilantro to help while going through the process.
In any case, none of the herbs and minerals or even the clay are too expensive. Clay can be purchased with shipping for less than $15. Chlorella is a little pricey for a supplement but nothing compared to Ritalin and lifelong health problems associated with prescribed drugs.
If your child has problems communicating, repeats himself frequently, becomes consumed by unhealthy past-times or he has social developmental problems then I would suggest you do your homework and try the clay baths. If your child has gastrointestinal problems then I would suggest 2 ounces of aloe vera juice and some honey and cinnamon. If your child has a reaction to the aloe then try green hull Black-Walnut tincture. If he has constipation problems then you want to take care of it first so his body will be ready to eliminate the toxins. Get him on a Vitamin C, Aloe (or Walnut Tincture) for a few weeks before starting the clay baths.
You might also consider dietary changes such as eliminating milk ( NOMILK.com ) or dairy. Your child could also be allergic to wheat. You should also steer away from using household body, laundry, shampoos, & soaps with scents and try to get rid of as many toxic chemicals from your home as possible. The world we live in now has 500,000+ more chemicals than it did even 50 years ago. I believe a lot of neurological problems are associated with some of those chemicals.
Heavy Metal detoxying and living as chemical free as possible is a serious lifestyle commitment. You may want an easy way out and magnetic clay may very well be the key to helping your son but in the long run it will be more important for your son's health to learn to live in as healthy a lifestyle as possible. It doesn't have to be expensive but it could take your time and energy to make heavy metal chelation as successful as possible. I have posted my own version of metal detoxification on my Blog. This is my plan to rid metals in my own body that includes Magnetic Clay: Poor Man's Heavy Metal Detox.... Pascalite" Clay & Cilantro - //www.curezone.org/blogs/m.asp?f=86&i=6
